Tom Reynolds, MBA, MPA, CMA, EA, SPHR
In addition to owning and operating his successful tax preparation and accounting business, T. Reynolds Enterprises, LLC, Tom Reynolds currently also teaches courses part-time at the college-level. He is currently teaching taxation at Tri-C, accounting at Baldwin Wallace University, and budgeting classes at both Cleveland State University’s Professional Development Center and Tri-C’s Corporate College. Previous to working in higher education and accounting, Tom worked as a city administrator or city treasurer for communities in Ohio and Wisconsin. He also has experience working as an accountant and tax specialist for a local CPA firm.
Tom's many years of diverse and immersive professional experience are supplemented by his comprehensive education. He completed a master’s in business administration degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, double-majoring in finance and human resources. Tom also earned both a master’s degree in public administration (specializing in local government management) and a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice from the University of Akron (where Tom graduated summa cum laude). Tom also holds an associate degree in accounting and three accounting certificates of proficiency from Tri-C (Tom also graduated summa cum laude here). He is currently taking classes at Franklin University for a Master's degree in accounting focusing on taxation.
Tom's desire to further his own knowledge and career have driven him to pursue a number of coveted professional certifications. Tom holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, issued by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). Tom also holds the Enrolled Agent (EA) tax certification, issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, issued by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). He is currently taking the exams to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Two employees of T. Reynolds Enterprises, LLC are CPAs. Tom is a life-long learner and is up-to-date on the most recent tax and accounting rule changes. He competes many hours of continuing education per year.
Tom is also a big fan of Elvis, the Beatles, and a suffering Ohio and Cleveland sports fan.
